Privacy and Members
Corporations Law requires us to keep a register of members containing their name and address and to disclose this information on request to authorised bodies.
We use the information in membership applications and other data you have provided to assess your eligibility and to otherwise manage your membership.
When we collect information of a sensitive nature (such as financial and personal information) from you, we only use or disclose it to manage your membership or to provide services to you that are aligned with your membership.
We use your date of birth to identify you in our records.
Otherwise we use information in membership related applications and records of your interactions with other people associated with the DLI to provide information and services aligned with your specific needs and to keep track of aspects of your membership.
Some of our contracted service providers may be located in other countries including the US, UK and Singapore.
Information Collection and Cookies
The DLI collects data to operate effectively and provide you the best user and member experience. You provide some of this data directly, such as when you register with us, submit an online form, or make contact with us via email, through chat or conferencing functions, by phone or in person. We get some of it by recording how you interact with our site by, for example, using technologies like cookies, and receiving error reports or usage data from our servers. We may also obtain data from third parties, such as Google or Facebook, if you select any account linkage options.
